What's the difference between a trade and consumer order type?
When creating a manual order and the order is being fulfilled from our national distribution centre (Bulk - Albury), you will see an option to choose between Consumer or Trade as an Order Type.
Selecting the relevant Order Type allows Wine Depot to select the most appropriate final mile carrier to ensure we deliver your goods to your customer as quickly as possible.
- For business to business deliveries from Bulk - Albury, select Trade as the Order Type.
- For deliveries to consumers from Bulk - Albury, select Consumer as the Order Type.
Note
Order Type is only selectable when an order is being fulfilled from our national distribution centre (Bulk - Albury).
For fulfillment from all other depots (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane) the Order Type selection is not active and will always be set to Consumer.
Transit / Delivery ETAs remain the same regardless of the Order Type.
