How do I publish my product on Vivino?

Publishing/Listing your wines for sale on Vivino can be done in a few clicks. Please see a step by step guide here.

Can I sell beer, cider, spirits and mixers on Vivino?

Only wine can be sold via Vivino.

What is your sales commission if I sell my products on Vivino?

The sales commission is 20% of the total sale price. This is introductory rate which expires on 31/12/2021, the sales commission will revert to 30% after the introductory period has ended.

Why does Vivino display a different bottle shot to the one I uploaded in Connect?

Vivino maintains their own listings, and doesn’t always utilize the imagery we make available in the API. Sometimes your listing may show a blank image, or a photo taken on a phone by a public reviewer on the Vivino platform. If you feel any of your listing information, including images, are inaccurate or out of date, please get in touch and we will raise directly to Vivino.

Can I enter a discount or sale price on my wine on Vivino?

Yes, this can be managed through your WineDepot Account Manager. Sale prices for Vivino cannot be loaded into the Connect platform at this stage.

Can I limit what states my product is sold in?

No. All products made available on Vivino must be available to be sold nationally (excluding dry zones). Note that although shipping rates vary, it does not impact the payout to suppliers. Shipping costs are negotiated between WineDepot and Vivino and do not come out of your payouts.

How long will it take for my products to appear on Vivino, once I have published them on Connect?

Vivino completes a manual ‘matching’ process on all new products we submit via our API. Depending on Vivino volumes at the time, this can take up to a week. If you find your listing is taking longer than 7 days to appear, please get in touch so that we can escalate with Vivino.

Can I sell my products as a straight case or single bottle on Vivino?

All products must be available to be sold by the bottle. Users may choose to purchase a straight case at POS.

Do I incur any freight, packaging, or fulfilment costs on Vivino orders?

All fulfillment, pick/ pack and customer service costs are covered by WineDepot. All delivery costs are included in your commission rate charged by WineDepot.

How can I improve the visibility or ranking of my wine in Vivino?

Vivino is a platform that is heavily favoured towards with a large number of reviews, and the quality of those reviews. So a wine that has 85 ratings at an average of 4.2 will do better than a wine with only 5 ratings of 4.3. The ratings can sometimes be vintage specific also. One option is to encourage your database of customers to leave reviews of your wine on the Vivino platform.

What is the best way to increase sales of my wine in Vivino?

We have found that ensuring you offer a competitive retail price, offering short-term specials, and encouraging users to rate your wines are the three best tools to help increase your sales on Vivino.
